中文处理研究室主要研究计算机如何正确处理和理解自然语言，为公司产品（如SOSO）提供基础技术和创新技术的研究。 主要研究方向为分词技术、内容过滤、主题提取、文本分类聚类、文摘技术、语义分析等。研发腾讯的自然语言处理和文本挖掘平台。
Chinese Processing Research Group focuses on how computer can process and understand natural language correctly; thereby providing basic and innovative technologies for Tencent’s products, such as SOSO search engine. The directions include word segmentation, content filtering, topic extraction, text classification/clustering, summarization technology and semantic analysis, etc. The goal is to build the natural language processing and text mining platform in Tencent.
